update from the isle of Hawai'i
So i have a job interview for a really good job at the school of business for Friday. Please pray for me. We are doing really well and Moema is doing very well at school and kicking everyone's rear at raquetball. He is still teaching me and I am slowly improving. He definitly wants a rematch with dad when you come to visit:) We got callings, primary teachers, lame huh. but it is okay we only have to do it every other week. Life is good and I am looking forward to hopefully start working again. It has been so windy here, it caused major power outages and our cable went out. we go to the temple every saturday and it is a beautiful temple. We hope to get visitors soon.

Back from Paris!

So I'm back from Paris! It was pretty amazing, even though it was pretty cold. I ate some crepes, and pannini, and baguettes. The Eiffel tower was sparkling, all the couples were in love and I was kinda lonely. I missed Lucinda. I really enjoyed the Louvre, and Orsay. Versailles was foggy, so I couldn't enjoy the grandure of the building and grounds, although it kinda added to the mystique. Here's the link to all my photos.

Awesome movie coming out
In about 3 weeks a new movie is comming out which looks to be very very good. It is about John Newton (who wrote Amazing Grace), and trying to abolish the British Slave trade. It is PG and by the same groups who did Narnia and is called Amazing Grace. Also it has all of our favourite actors in it to, Albert Finney (Scrooge) as John Newton, Horatio Hornblower as the main actor, and Clair Hians (Jane Eyre, Mayor of Casterbridge) as the bad guy. South Africa???!!!
Okay, so I got kind of big news and I need the family's prayers in a serious way. The person suppose to go to South Africa just decided to quit the Foreign Service so her spot is back in the bidding. So now there are 3 people in my group that need to be assigned and 3 spots, Nigeria, South Africa and Mexico. (it is possible that someone wont get assigned if there is a carryover from someone else already out but they will probably want us to get assigned). So what that means is someone has to go to Nigeria and it is pretty much a zero sum game so we gots to hope and pray I get South Africa! I would be so perfect, Moema's family is close, hospitals are 1st rate, cool trips, get visitors, and hey, it may be dangerous but not as bad as Lagos! So if you could just remember this in your prayers - it would be ideal.
Thanks!

Paridise Found

Okay, here are some more photos. THe first one is BYU, then some views of Hawaii from a look out point, and then from the pearl harbor, USS Arizona monument. We had a blast. We went for a beautiful hike yesteday with Sariah and her boyfriend. LIfe is very sweet and Moema is enjoying school, although the stress has already begun. I hope to get a call from BYU soon with a job interview, it looks likely. But we shall see. Thanks for everything and don't hestitate to give us a call.
1 Weekend 3 new countries!

This weekend was pretty cool. I met up with Lincoln in Stockholm. It was a long bus ride from the airport to Stockholm, then a train ride out to the temple. We had an interesting time at the temple. I didn't understand anything, but they pulled me in different directions to perform some ordinances. Lincoln thought it was funny, because I just disappeared. NOBODY speaks English in the Stockholm temple!! Stockholm was such a beautiful city with lots of little islands with old buildings on them. It was SOO cold. Lincoln thought I was such a baby, but he had two pairs of socks, a like 4 layers of cloths on. I didn't bring any warm cloths with me to Germany due to weight limits on my luggage. There were so many little ally-ways with cobblestone roads. We had all-you-can-eat Thai for lunch...mmm. And more Kababs for dinner, which I wasn't able to finish all.. I was so full. Church was equally amusing as the temple. Random people in the crowd were just getting up and fixing the position of the microphone, or closing the curtains...etc..
When I got back to Germany, I decided Monday morning to go on another trip. I hopped on, and took off for Luxembourg. I spent the afternoon there and walked the streets. I ate a delicious huge éclair, Wow.. very good. Then while there I decided to hop on the train and go to Metz France. I got there around dinner and ate a delicious Quiche Lorrain. Then walked around the city, took some photos, and hopped on a different train back to Landstuhl. It was an event packed weekend. If you want to see more photos go to this web site.

Thank you David for fixing our blog. Now if we could just post pictures. I know I am never satisfied. When we go to our old way of the Picasso link it says that we do not have a blog that will upload images. Any suggestions? Amber and Oliver - do you have some help? Are your parents there Amber? The pictures of Ryan are so darling. He is a really cute baby. Mom

Back from Lincoln and Siobhans

I had a great time over at Lincoln and Siobhan's house. They were so nice to let me stay at their house the whole break, and to run me to and from the airport!! It was nice to be able to play with their kids, since I couldn't be around my own. They put on a great Christmas dinner...mmmm... I think their AGA oven is the key. I want to look up how I can get one of those. I don't understand how it can be very efficient when it runs 24/7. It keeps the kitchen warm though! We drove up to the Preston temple and did some sessions. It wasn't very crowded. I was in a session where there was only me, and the witness couple. On Saturday morning the sky was beautiful and blue, so we got some great pictures. If you want to see more pictures go to my Germany blog at

Allyson
It looks like you guys have a great apartment! I hope you find a job soon! About the photoshop, I thought it would be an easy thing to do, if it looks like it will be too much trouble, then don't worry about it. It just looked like the easiest way was to order it on the byu bookstore website, and then fax them proof of your student status. If they make you sign something, then just don't worry about it.... I don't want you guys to get in trouble!
Baby is doing well, and the kids go back to school on Monday... thank goodness! It's been a fun holiday, but I'm ready to get into a routine! I have baby announcements to mail out this week... do you guys have an address?
We are on the Island

So we are here and loving it! We just got back from a run via the temple and BYU Hawaii and ending at the beach. We are four minute walk from the temple and 10 minutes fro BYU Hawaii and 10 minutes from a grocery store and 30 seconds from the beach, it is accross the street. There is a bus that is really easy to take to Honolulu and a mall. I hopefully will be able to get a job soon, we shall see. Moema is going to Orientation things and really thinks he is going to like it here. We are very happy. This is our apartment, it is pretty nice, especailly compared to other places. WE have free wireless, cable, and our landlady gave us a toster oven so we will be fine. Things are very expensive here though, food is so much!! But we will just pray that things will come together and we will have enough money, I think we will be fine. We paid tuition today. IT is pretty hot here actually, more than we thought it woudl be so I basically don't have any clothing to wear! And things are a lot more run down and trashy here than I was expecting. Moema said it looks like he imagined Cuba to be like:) We are looking forward to visitors!
Mom, we also go the Microsoft office and you can download it on your laptop, they said you can download it on two computers. IT was 70$.
Amber, the Photoshop thing, I went and talked to them and they make you sign this affadavit saying you are the only one who is going to use it. The guy made a really big deal about how it is very illegal for you to give it to anyone else because it is like a 1200 dollar value...but that was at BYU Provo that I talked to the guy so I will speak to them here at BYU Hawaii. YOu look so beautiful in that photo, you could never guess you just had a baby.
