Wannabe twins... they came up with this little ensemble all by themselves. Having those 2 share a bedroom was an exceptional move! Since I have lost 6 lbs since being on bed rest, and Oliver took this the day I went on bed rest, I think this is me at my biggest. Tomorrow I go to the doctor again... anyone care to bet on my progress? I'm accepting wagers.
By the way, I am opposed to Oliver posting on the blog, ever, under any circumstances. He has been a great husband and dad, especially during the past 2 weeks, but I think we can all agree that at the very least, a person should be able to spell their thoughtless insults properly before posting them. I mean, Blogger has a spell checker for the love of Pete. That's all I'm going to say about that.
Ally, I have been chastized by mom and dad and my wife about my incencitive comments on the blog - but man you gots to me me half way on this. you cant make a post like that last one talking about Calvins love for donuts and expect me not to say he gets that crazed obsession, appreciation and love of donuts from his dear old father. Come on now.
We have been watching the reunion DVD from last year. It made me miss our house so much! I felt the nostalgia so much I could smell Milky Way's manure . . . oh wait, it was just Oliver's diaper. But we do miss home. Leah is asking when we can go back to our old house even though a month ago when I showed her a picture of it she thought it was a church. It feels like it should be Halloween here it's getting so cold. We are praying and fasting for Dad and Amber.
I had a great time at JaLaynes and had fun wathcing the kids for six days. Moema's interview with Notre Dame went well, we will find out end of October if he got in.
Congratulatiions to Lincoln on his long overdue and well deserved promotion. Outstanding! It's been a couple of great weeks for Oliver and Lincoln and their families. I, probably more than anyone else in the family, can appreciate the emotion associated with finally getting promoted. It's mostly relief but the honor and money don't hurt either. Dad
those pictures remind me of me and ambers trip to st. Pets. You know fait is not on your side when you see signs with your name on it pointing you toward a dare. Oliver
I love the picture of the girls on the tire swing and the one of me and Justin fixing the fence - it almost looks like we know what we are doing. However, the first cow that comes along is going to think "who were the jack a...es that put this fence up - this is an insult to our intellegence" By the way - their house and farm rocks. I need to get down their again to thin out the turkey heard.
So the craziest thing happened. We were walking in St. Petersburg and I was really trying to be good on my diet when I start seeing these signs spray painted on the ground. Obed is the Russian word for Lunch. So there were about 10 of these signs right after each other with an arrow - saying in essence, "Levin, lunch is this way". I figured it was a sign from heaven until we reached the restaurant and discovered Levin was the name of the cafe.
The church of the spilled blood, naked baby with his new fur hat, and the Marriot people some how (from Passports?) knew it was Melissas b-day and brought this cake to our room.
We had a blast in St. Petersburg. Here are pictures of Melissa and Oliver in front of the cathedral at Peter and Paul fortress and then St. Issacs and then Melissa and Leah in front of the Hermitage
