Russian Thanksgiving

My sister and her friend came to visit. Here we are at Sergiev Posad Monastary, "the spiritual center of the Russian Orthodox church. The one above is the church used only for confessions. Below is outside the gates with our tour guide.

We celebrated Leah's birthday a little early so they could be here for it. This is one of her gifts - an Elmo doctor kit. She is finally big enough to wear Oliver's shirt from the family reunion. She loves it!

Oliver has a favorite uncle. Unfortunately, every morning Oliver would freak out and cry when Bo would talk to him. Then by the end of the day and a few games of "elevator" and Oliver loved him. The next morning we'd start all over with the crying. I can't tell you how many times Bo lifted up Oliver or Leah like this. The dude must be strong. I'm devastated that he and my sister are "just friends" because he was sooo awesome!

our thanksgiving

Our baby knows how to smile now! Her "baby acne" has finally started to improve too.
McKay is wearing a very strange get-up here, but at least he is smiling!
We had a fun Thanksgiving with Emily and her family, and Darl and his, plus Tiffany (she had to leave early, so I don't have any pics of them). Our kids all got along really well, and the food was good! Oliver smoked a turkey that was just amazing, and everyone brought something, so the prep was super easy!

Speaking of Movies

Lincoln - have you see the BYU movie/documentary Fires of Faith about Tynsdale and the King James Bible - I loved it - especially the Oxford professor that railed on "sir" Tommy More. If we had a another kid I would name him Tynsdale - he was the bomb
