Very good idea Lincoln. OUr dates are all set April 22nd till May 2nd. This would be such a party!
Ok let me throw something up the flag pole and see if anyone salutes it. Things appear to be line up in such a way to make for a pretty cool family reunion next Spring. Specifically the end of April. Allyson’s full family will be in the Holy Land, My full family can be in the Holy Land, Mom and Dad will likely be in the Holy Land and Levin’s full family could be in the Holy Land. Tickets are very cheap, apartment accomadation for large groups is very cheap – perhaps averaging out to just 25 bucks a person in luxurious apartments in Jerusalem. I’m just saying lets think about giving our parents the ultimate experience of having a family reunion in Jerusalem. We all probably can’t make it, but a slug of us could which would probably be the funniest experience of our entire lives – bar none. I have a feeling Taylor and Shelley might fly out with the mother-in-law watching their kids, Jalayne could come, and Oliver –although just in the Holy Land – could priceline cheap tickets.
This could be a blast of biblical proportions. Now your first reaction might be – wow that would be great except for one thing, I don’t know if I want my screaming nephews and nieces accompanying me on my trip to these Holy sites with my wife. That won’t be the case. I will organize so that the proper runion is only for three days in Jerusalem (with a mini bus day tour of galiliee or Masada) and then on either ends of the trip you can have your own time if you want or break up into couple trips. We will all be staying in apartments next to each other for late night talks, day excursions etc etc. I am telling you it is doable and affordable. If just a few of us could do it Levin, Allyson, mine families, taylor and shelley and the parents it would be so memorable, and any more would be all the better.
Think about it.
For those that have not heard, life as we know it has changed forever. Commencing 2 November, Easy Jet opens a new route from London to Tel Aviv. What this means is that tickets which once cost $700 a piece roundtrip, now cost $100!
Needless to say, yesterday, Siobhan and I bought tickets for our whole family to spend two full weeks in the Holy Land. We have a three room spacious modern apartment near the Old City for a week and a log cabin retreat with swimming pool and buffet breakfast on the shores of the Galilee for a week.
I’m not saying this too brag, but to let everyone know that the untouchable, inaccessible Holy Land is now ready for everyone to visit. And . .I am the family’s formal tour guide. Allyson, Moemo, Mom and Dad are doing Isreal in April and I will be their tour guide.
The rest of you start planning.

I do sometimes put a little on him, but he doesn't seem to burn but certainly has gotten darker since we have started taking him to the beach.
We have a little drama in the dorm. I got an email yesterday from a resident who just moved in. She said she has a really dark feeling in her room and she said it is haunted. I guess she has heard stories from several girls who have seen a ghost in a long white dress with a candle and that some of the girls have been touched by spirit. I spoke with her last night and she refuses to go back in her room. Problem is we can't move her cause we are totally full. I had her sleep with one of my RA girls last night, she was so freaked out. Anyway, I had to stop Moema from putting on my white nightgown scaring her to dealth last night. Now I am hearing from tons of people that this dorm is haunted and has been for years! Who knew!
Hyrum is having a party and loves boggie boarding. He is pretty good but still no one holds a candle to Levin, he was like a fish out there. We can't wait to see how good Dad and Oliver are!
Leah finally started crawling this week. Unfortunately, she won't crawl to toys, but will only crawl to my cell phone or chords.
Question for Allyson: So when you take Calvin to the beach do you have to bathe him in sunscreen SPF 50 like I do with Leah and then still worry somehow you'll have missed a spot and she'll be a cherry tomato? I know he's got a little more pigment than Leah, or Snow Flake as a friend calls her since she is so white. . . . just wondering . . . .
Allyson, that kid is having way too much fun at the beach! DAD
We spent the afternoon with Hyrum at the beach. I discovered putting him in his new blue chair (thanks to the Prices) keeps the sand away:)
He loved it, and Hyrum got some good waves boogie boarding.
YOu don't want to carry Calvin your your shoulders!
Dad - I love the photos - especially the one of everyone on their horses. Looks like you guys campled right where we did. I am jelous - the pack trip we had in Virginia is crappy in comparison. I am suprised there is still snow up there

Jaron broke two bones in his arm yesterday while trying to ride our neighbors scooter down a steep hill by our house. Poor kid was in a lot of pain. He now has it in a sling and will get a cast on Monday after the swelling goes down. Our first child with a broken bone.
Taylor and Shelley,
I love your pictures of Banff. We always said we wanted to go back there for our 10th anniversary which is next year. I don't think we'll get there but man what a beautiful fun place to go as a couple. I'm glad you had that chance.
Lincoln,
I am so anxious to hear how it goes with Amanda next week. Keep us updated
