They played nicely, even with the age difference. I am sure that in a couple of years they will be great friends!

We got the girls all dolled up so I could take them to see my friend sing the part of Maria in the Sound of Music. It was GREAT!

Cute Dawson wanted a picture in his new snowboots. Lucinda and I had a ball shopping for things her kids needed.

The hunters return empty-handed and cold, but at least they look good!

So, we have discovered that Hannah is a very busy girl. But more importantly, it has been determined that she is not receiving enough adult supervision. She moves from one medium of mess to another with the greatest of ease. We couldn't be prouder of her!

The one cupboard in the kitchen which doesn't have a child lock.

Good thing that violin was in a case!
Dad,
I saw a few minutes of O'Reilly and it reminded me of the good ol' days watching it with you this summer. We miss you!

This snow suit is a little big, but her other suit is too small so . . . this one works.
Sadly we never got a picture from the top of the pony cake I made for Leah.
Here she is opening the dress from you Grandma. She wore it to church on Sunday and looked great.
This is Alexis, the friend Leah was obsessed with all summer while we were in America. They get along really well now . . not as much before. THe little boy (her brother) is Oliver's best buddy. They are soooo cute together.
Oliver and two other boys aren't pictured here.
We were babysitting 4 kids last week. Luckily they just happened to already have been invited to Leah's birthday party so it worked out great they were at our house. We thought we'd have the kids all this week too, but they went home Sunday night. I hate to say it, but I was relieved. THe littlest one, 18 months, caught the cold the others had come to our house with and was pretty sick so it would have been a crazy week. Here is hoping our kids don't catch it. I aired out Leah's room where two of them slept and even threw away the pillow the 18 month old slept on.
This is my crew. I was the team leader. We worked on this guys house for 4 hours and got it totaly gutted.
These pictures are a little old - sorry.
Oliver and his little buddy at the Halloween party on actual Halloween. We'd done trick or treating the weekend before. The face pretty much describes Oliver's mood the whole time. They had a real photographer taking pictures and I didn't even try to get my kids to do it. Plus it was so hot Autumn was already out of her tiger costume. Oliver was the same way at last year's party, but it was really LAME. This one was fun, but I guess still didn't impress him. He just stood in the middle of a ton of dancing kids looking totally uncomfortable, sad, and like he thought the rest of them were completely nuts. They play the same dancing game at a "music time" we go to once a week and he has a blast. Guess the kid just hates Halloween. I hate dressing up in costumes too so I don't blame him.

Autumn in Oliver's old tiger costume. Bad picture - bad photographer (me), bad lighting and camera that has been used by Oliver and Leah too much. I tried to edit it and all it did was "sharpen" up the costume, not her sweet face. Guess I shouldn't quit my day job.
Autumn and I are both starting Weight Watchers in January.
Oliver can't stand for someone else to be having their picture taken and him not be included.
Leah with a big bump on her head. She came in crying wanting to sleep with me one night and tripped over a pillow and knocked her head on the night stand. Let's just say it didn't help the situation.
Oliver "holding" Autumn. He asks to hold her a lot. Usually he lasts about 5 seconds or less and then says "I'm done!" Leah realized this week she could release some of her built up need to express affection by giving Autumn kisses and hugs and I think their relationship is growing!
One of my favorite pictures of Autumn. There is a chance I already posted it - it was taken in October.
Two guys from Sierra Leone. They were really good guys. They came over for dinner set that they were leaving the next week to go home because they realized Moscow was not what they thought it would be. Well, since then, it snowed which they hoped not to see and they missed their flights. They were too embarrassed to come to church today, but all they need is $15 and then they can get back home. I would have given them that. They didn't even need to talk to ol' bishop!
Anyway - here they are. They wanted their picture holding Autumn. Africans love holding white babies!
Death and destruction in our neighborhood. Derivation at Nitzi's and the base gym where Oliver and I performed many great feats in the 80s.
