I'm having trouble captioning these photos. They are as follows: A Roman Aqueduct which runs across the city. Ancient Christian Church. Grand Bazaar with 3,000 vendors, established and continually operating since 1461. Roman Cistern beneath city with Medusa statue (sideways).
We finally made it back from England. We had a wonderful time with Lincoln and Siobhan. When I get home I will write it all up especially our Istanbul trip. We need to get home to Grandma but we are going to enjoy these last few days with our children. We have loved all the great Christmas pictures. What beautiful grandchildren we have. We are so blessed. This has been a glorious year for our family with all the new grandchildren and blessings of jobs when so many are out of work. Love Mom
This little puppy is so cute! Calvin at first totally ignored it since he was very interested in his cars...then the puppy turned on him and used him as his chewing toy. A few days later he chewed his ears and hair so bad Calvin did end up crying.
We had so much fun at Taylor and Shelleys.. They have such a great family and we are so lucky we got to share Christmas with them! Thanks for all your generosity to us!!

RUSSIA: Consumer sectors will enjoy moderate growth 29 December 2010
Prime Minister Vladimir Putin announced yesterday that he supported a 3.8 billion dollar deal between PepsiCo and Russian dairy and juice major Wimm-Bill-Dann, all but guaranteeing that the agreement will be approved by the Federal Anti-monopoly Service. The acquisition represents the single-largest foreign investment outside the natural-resources sector, and makes Russia PepsiCo's largest market outside the United States. The deal has drawn attention to the attractions of the consumer-goods sector, but there are reasons to question whether it can return to pre-crisis double-digit growth. Household consumption is likely to grow more slowly over the coming decade, but the consumer-goods sector will continue developing -- in part because it is subject to less political risk than the natural-resource sector. International companies with the right preparation and partners should continue to do well, even if the gains are less spectacular than in 1998-2008.
Here's a few shots of our Christmas eve and Christmas morning. Jaron is the angel, Alena is Mary, Dawson is the wise man, and Grant is Joseph. You can guess who Ally is . . . Alena loves her American Girl "Just Like Me" doll, who she named Loretta. She wanted to take her everywhere, even biking. Believe it or not the outfits were made by hand by a Danville lady at the farmers market (it was a steal). Jaron and Grant got new bikes for Christmas from Santa, so they all wanted to ride around to test them out even though it started snowing.
We got bowl picks from almost everyone but Lucinda's family.. I will give an update Monday night on who is ahead. We had a great time at Levin's house and I was so happy to get to ride horses again, Moema was happy to play sports, and Calvin loved playing with his cousins - it was a great time. Moema turned 26 and got the book Band of brothers on CD and a mug with photos on it.
