JaLayne... that hat family picture needs a little explanation! :)
I just took this picture out the back door of snowy sunshine.

Here are a couple of recent blog posts in case you haven't seen them yet... they are from Russia and England. We had a great time on both trips, thanks to Lincoln and Levin!

Girl student eating lunch. The girls live on the good campus and the boys on the "farm", which is not so nice.
The dorms are extremely crowded, three or four to a bed.
I'm afraid this is the seamy underbelly of Kenya but it is reality and we want to relieve what suffering we can.
One of the classrooms. Note the back wall separating the rooms and the stack of books, etc. on the table - no book cases.
The kitchen
This photo gives you some idea of the shabby condition, of the walls in particular. They try to keep things relatively clean but you can only do so much
Your mother entering one of the classrooms. They evidently scrounged the plywood from somewhere.
Lucinda,
We read it, but I have to log out as me and log in as Levin to post to this blog so our laziness keeps us from commenting sometimes.
The other doctor does look a little ill. I think we had nicer weather for Easter than you did. It was the first one here that there wasn't snow and I didn't have to put sweaters over the short sleeved dressed for my girls. This year is later in the season though too.
Justin looks good but Dr. Hakes looks creepy.
What do you think of this picture of Dr. Hakes and Justin together? We took it with the purpose of putting an ad in the newspaper letting everyone know he's back and seeing patients again.
We'll see if anyone really reads this blog, by seeing who responds to my question.
The "chicken" Kenyans wouldn't go in the tank to attach the nozzles, so decrepit, claustrophobic me had to do it. Oh the humiliation!
Jaron was ordained last Sunday and he was able to do baptisms for the Dead yesterday, and pass the sacrament this Easter Sunday for the first time.
Still snow on the ground! BUt that didn't stop me from getting use out of the cute Easter dresses I bought. They don't seem to mind.
I have a question, does anyone even check this blog anymore? Or is everyone just focusing on each others blogs or facebook posts? Should I even bother posting?
Hope you all had a fun Easter!
And we wonder why he has a weight problem
Moema made Leg of Lamb for Easter....so good!

It's not a great photo but he'd only poise for so long. Funny how they came out in mass today - dozens of them, in packs. This one reminded me a little of Jordan. JK
Here is the link to our blog. We were so happy that we actually found the Wittwer home in Schangnau. It wasn't easy, but the search was so interesting. What an incredibly beautiful place.
